What is the Role of UFOs in the Occult?
The UFO connection is a perfect explanation for the rapture of the church and also for divine guidance into a New Age. The belief that other beings in the universe have evolved in the same manner as human beings is exciting to those who believe man is at the threshold of hope in becoming god. UFOs are believed to have evolved into supernatural beings, and thus, man is able to do the same. If only he can contact the UFOs, they will tell him how.
The experiences of the UFO contacts reveal a demonic encounter, rather than contact with a higher intelligence in the universe. Consider the words of Shirley MacLaine: “I found people had experiences similar to mine: people involved with trance channeling, past life recall, growing spiritual awareness, and even contact with UFOs.”1
The fact that there is a connection between the world of the occult and UFO encounters is simply too obvious to be ignored. Whitley Strieber is a prime example. His best-selling books, Communion and Transformation deal with his supposed abductions by UFOs. Strieber, who has a strong background with occult practices (Zen, witchcraft, Gaia worship, mysticism, Gurdjieff),2 paints a chilling picture of the true identity of the UFOs. He writes, “Increasingly I felt as if I were entering a struggle that might be even more than life-or-death. It might even be a struggle for my soul….Alone at night I worried about the legendary cunning of demons. At the very least, I was going stark raving mad….He looks mean. Is this the devil? What the hell is this?”3
The parallels with the demonic are clearly drawn. The devil’s fight for the souls of those without Jesus as Lord comes “with all power and signs and lying wonders” (2 Thess. 2:9). The mechanistic scientist will not find such conclusions to be very convincing. After all, a group of agnostics and atheists will feel they are too sophisticated for such archaic encounters with the demonic. Yet, there will not be enough evidence to properly understand the mystery of the UFO phenomenon, until one reaches Close Encounters of the IV-VI Kind. The real horrors of those being toyed with by demons, masquerading as angels of light (2 Cor. 11:14) is apparent as these kinds of encounters parallel occult experiences.
The demonic forces are certainly at work in deceiving mankind to find hope somewhere else in the universe other than God. It is likely that these same demons will provide a rational explanation for the rapture of the church when it happens. In her book, Aliens Among Us, Ruth Montgomery quotes the message of one channeler who received a message from “space brother,” Andromeda Rex. “The Great Evacuation will come upon the world very suddenly. The flash of emergency events will be as the lightening that flashes in the sky. Our rescue ships will be able to come in close enough in the twinkling of an eye to set the lifting beams in operation in a moment.”4
The purpose of transformation in the UFO movement is to prepare mankind for the Age of Aquarius. The Piscean Age, beginning with the time of Christ, is passing away. In order, to be ready for this New Age mankind will have to undergo dramatic changes in terms of consciousness. The stage is certainly set for mass delusion. The UFO phenomenon thrives on crafting a perfect disguise to delude the world into thinking there is a salvation outside of Jesus Christ.
